Beware of fake JYSK websites
From time to time, scammers use JYSK to trick or deceive customers into giving away their money or providing sensitive information such as passwords.
Scammers, for example, create fake JYSK websites that look genuine by featuring the JYSK logo, JYSK product photos and/or have a design similar to JYSK’s website.
We are doing everything we can to protect consumers from fraud, and we take the issue of fraudulent websites very seriously. There are also some steps that you can take yourself to identify fake websites and ensure your safety:
- Check the URL: The authentic JYSK website is called JYSK.xx. All domain names are listed here: https://www.jysk.com/jysk-countries (for example JYSK.dk, JYSK.de etc.). Be cautious if the web address contains misspellings, extra characters, or similar.
- Look closely at the contents of the website:
- Check for inconsistencies in language that indicate poor translation
- Check for poor-quality images
- Check for fake or missing customer service contact details
- Check for fake terms and conditions without clear identification of the company
- Check for unusual or odd prices (such as “£53.72”)
All of the above can be a sign that the website is fake. - Look for contact information: JYSK always provides clear and accessible contact information such as a physical address, phone number, or customer support email address.
- Be cautious of very low prices: JYSK always has great offers, but be wary of unrealistically low prices on JYSK products. If you see prices that seem too good to be true, it may be a fake website trying to trick you.
- Pay with debit card or credit card: When buying a JYSK product online, a debit card or a credit card often provides greater protection if you unfortunately buy fake or non-existent products.
Awareness is key to recognising potential threats and avoiding falling victim to fraud.
If you see a potential fraudulent or scam website claiming to sell JYSK products, please contact JYSK customer service.
If the incident has occurred
We recommend that you:
- block your payment cards
- refrain from corresponding with the fraudsters
- report the incident to the police
- contact your bank
It is important to act as quickly as possible. In some cases, the transaction can be stopped in time.
