Garden tables that let you enjoy the outdoors

There's nothing quite like the fleeting summer months, when we can gather with loved ones and dine outdoors in the fresh air. Whether you prefer to cook up a barbecue feast or savor a simple meal of salads and fresh bread while admiring the beauty of your garden surroundings, it's a moment to cherish. Of course, the outdoor dining table is the centerpiece of any outdoor gathering, and at JYSK, we offer a range of garden tables in various shapes and styles to suit every garden setting.

Get more out of summer with the right choice of garden patio table. There are different factors you should look into when buying an outdoor table, which includes:

Garden table size and shape

The right size of garden table both depends on the amount of space you have on your terrasse or balcony, and how many it needs to seat. If you have a big garden or terrasse, you can consider a large garden table. If you, on the other hand, only have a small balcony or similar, a small bistro table is the perfect fit. If you have a big family, or often have guests over for barbecues in the garden, you will benefit from a bigger garden dining table, such as an 8 seater garden table.

In our assortment, you can find outdoor tables in a variety of shapes, like round garden tables, square garden tables, and rectangular garden table. A round outdoor table is a popular choice, as it creates an intimate atmosphere, where everyone can easily engage in conversation with each other. A square garden table is an excellent choice, if you need a compact option that can still seat 4 people. Rectangular garden tables are often bigger and take up more space, but are easily accommodate the whole family. Having a couple of guests over? Throw an extra chair at the end of the table for a couple of additional seats. If you're hosting a larger gathering, you can combine several rectangular garden tables, to create one long garden table.

Functionality

Is your furniture fit for the purpose you have in mind for it? It's convenient to have furniture that can be stacked, folded, or pushed to the side, so that it uses as little space as possible. Additionally, it may be practical to check whether the garden chairs can be pushed under the garden table, therefore providing you with more space when not in use.

Garden table materials

At JYSK, we offer a wide selection of garden tables designed with materials that stand up to the ever-changing British weather. Choose from durable metal garden tables with powder-coated finishes, low-maintenance polyrattan, timeless wooden designs, or modern synthetic options like artwood. Our round garden tables in rattan or glass are perfect for social gatherings, while wooden styles add a touch of natural charm to any outdoor space.

Maintenance requirements

Maintenance-free garden furniture is ideal; therefore, consider the material when you buy your garden furniture. There can be large differences in the amount of maintenance each material requires. Wooden garden tables are durable, but require more maintenance than other materials. Learn more about maintaining wooden garden furniture.
