High-quality wardrobes for your home

A wardrobe is an essential piece of furniture in your bedroom. When choosing your wardrobe you should consider your bedroom decor and room size. At JYSK, you'll find a broad assortment of wardrobes in many different styles, sizes and colours. For example you can opt for a simple white or a traditional oak wardrobe or a model with doors, drawers and a mirror. Some wardrobes have ordinary swing doors, while others have sliding doors. If you're tight on space, a wardrobe with sliding doors can be advantageous as it can be opened and accessed without taking up extra space.

Your bedroom is the last place you are at night and the first place you start your day so it's important to create a space that reflects you and your style. You won't have to compromise design for functionality with our extensive range of wardrobes - if you're looking for a single or double wardrobe, two or four doors or a black wardrobe or solid oak you'll find them all at JYSK. Keep your Scandinavian interior alive even when it comes to storage or choose a more traditional option. If modern design is your preference you'll have plenty to choose from including sleek sliding door wardrobes with a gloss finish.

At JYSK, you'll also find various accessories for fitting out your wardrobe as desired. For example, you may want to purchase an extra drawer insert if you're in need of extra space for socks and other small items.

How to organise your wardrobe

Is your wardrobe overflowing with items? Are you wanting to organise it into a welcoming, neat space? You are by no means the only one struggling with a chaotic wardrobe. The good news is that there are many tips and tricks to help you organise your wardrobe. Read on for advice.

1. HAVE A GOOD CLEAR OUT

It firstly helps to have a really good clear out of your wardrobe to make sure you aren't storing away any items that you don't need to won't wear. It doesn't hurt to make a list of how many of each item you have. For example, make a decision that you only need 5 shirts, 10 pairs of shoes and 10 skirts etc. You may end up having fewer things to choose from, but you will undoubtedly become more creative and better at combining your clothes in new ways.

Use the following categories, or piles, to help you decide what needs to stay:

Keep: Use your list as a guideline

Store: Pack away seasonal clothes (for example, for summer and winter). Choose practical storage boxes and baskets for easy storage of seasonal clothes, underwear, shoes etc.

Chuck out: Get rid of worn-out clothes that are beyond repair or clothes you have not worn for more than a year

Give away or sell: Pass on any clothes that aren't damaged to a charity shop, or sell them online

Come up with more of your own categories. Remember, the moment you think, “I’m never going to wear that”, make a quick decision and put it to one side immediately.

2. WHAT TYPE OF WARDROBE SHOULD YOU PICK?

After the hard work of sorting and tidying up all of your clothes, it's time to design your new wardrobe. If you're after a minimalistic and clean look then a white wardrobe may be the choice for you. If you're after a romantic, rustic style, the alternative is a wooden wardrobe for a cosier ambience.

3. ORGANISING THE WARDROBE WITH FIXED PLACES

Whether you are the romantic, minimalist or colourful type, you should choose a wardrobe, which makes it easy to keep an overview. Allocate your clothes on particular shelves and in particular drawers: trousers on one shelf and blouses on another, socks in one drawer and accessories in another etc. Use great quality coat hangers to protect your clothes, and let your favourite dresses and coats hang as decoration on a decorative clothes rail.

4. ACQUIRE GOOD TIDYING UP HABITS

Then it is mainly about enjoying the fruits of all your clean-up work: renewed energy and a feeling of air in your wardrobe. After that, it is important to be consistent and make sure you maintain your new overview. Introduce good tidying up habits. Stick to your rules of wardrobe storage and the fixed places for your belongings in your wardrobe.
